TT Query

This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. The temperature was cooler than ideal, but the breeze was light and some excellent times resulted in this final ABC 40km of 2008. Fastest overall was Warren MacDonald in a time of 53:03 which is his Personal Best time, a VAM category best and just 19 seconds off Michael Nash's Course Record. Fastest female was Erika Revesz in a time of 63:47, also with a Personal Best time as well as with a VCF category best. Fastest for the Almonte Bicycle Club were Demetri Tsarouchas and Celia McInnis for the females. Nine of sixteen who had ridden an earlier 2008 40km ATT improved upon their previous 2008 40km ATT best. In fact, nine people improved upon their previous 40km database best - the most improved of these being Anne-Marie Carter-McAuslan who is enjoying a new bicycle this year, and Demetri Tsarouchas. As well, as already mentioned, there were two improvements in the database category bests. Those with good excuses for not improving were Ingrid Coney who barely made it to the start due to two flat tires, her husband Michael Coney who quickly did her tire replacements thus missing a more suitable warmup, and the best excuse was for Colin Campbell who did not finish due to a broken chain!
