Tonight was a tough one! By the race start, the temperature had fallen to 13°C and the wind had risen to gusts of 53km/h from the WNW. This was sufficient to scare away 3 of the 11 pre-registrants, leaving us with 3 new riders and 5 who should have known better than to ride! All of the experienced riders were slower tonight than their best last year. The rider who was closest to her 2021 WTT best was our youngest rider Brielle Zappe who managed a cube speed ratio of 91.73% of her 2021 best speed of 26.722km/h as a seven year old! Congratulations Brielle - You will set records this year as an eight year old in the U09 class!!!
