Eight riders started and finished the third time trial of the season. Conditions were ideal at 26C, calm, and sunny. Three riders achieved season's bests improving on their times from the first two time trials and Paula Leydon also got her course best. Mike Nash, Larry Burge, Mike Coldwell, Scott Tyler, and Anne-Marie Carter-Mcauslan rode for the first time this season. Mike Nash was the fastest overall and and Mike Coldwell was the fastest ABC rider. The riders comment that the conditions were ideal.
The next Time Trial will be on May 31 starting at 7:00pm with sign in starting at 6:30.
The next official ABC ride is on May 29th, meeting at 9am at the Almonte Arena with a destination of Cedar Cove and return. You must have OCA affiliation or be a club member. Please email leshum@magma.ca if you intend to participate in this ride.
There is on Sat. May 28 an OBC ride out of Renfrew to Beachburg and return (approx. 120km) starting at 09:30. Check the Ottawa Bicycle Club web site for more information.
