The winds were scary at 18:00 with their high gusts, and this caused a couple of women to withdraw from tonight's time trial. Dianne Marleau headed off to her nearby home, letting us know that we were invited over to her house if we decided after a couple of kilometers to call it quits. Next the rain started, but it was light, and surprisingly the wind dropped just as we went over to the start line, so what looked to be a really slow time trial night became a quick one for most. The low air pressure helped us go faster than we would have otherwise. Fourteen women rode, and six out of the ten who had already ridden a 15km WTT event in 2012 improved upon their previous season-series best while three managed to improve upon their previous 15km database best. Congratulations especially to Naomi Gilker (26:32) for her 13.37% improvement in her previous database best. She was the most improved. Good going also for Jetje Antonietti (28:11) for her 3.77% improvement and Lindy Ledohowski (25:41) for her small improvement of 3 seconds. Congratulations also to Veteran B woman Sophie Matte (23:30) for finishing fastest, Veteran C rider Ellen Pazdzior (23:33) in second place, and Senior woman Christina Czaban (24:16) for finishing third.

(Lest complaints about me just lazily sucking in the results surface, I wish to make it perfectly clear that I would gladly do the data entry, getting the results up within a few of hours of the event, as history shows that I did for the WTT series for the decade beginning in 1998, and for the OTT series from 1999-2002 and again in 2006. The OBC Board however, not only won't let me volunteer here, but strangely enough they actually expelled me from the OBC for donating this time trial web site to you !)
