This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

Under sunny skies with warm temperatures and gusty north winds, twenty-two women arrived tonight to do the time trial with enthusiasm. Equally enthusiastic were Janique Gagnon's young sons, Gabriel, who became the photograper for the night, and Nicolas who served as the official Canadian flag-waver as each of us crossed the finish line. Fastest of the night was new rider Kory McDonald who managed to pull off an excellent 36km/h time trial with her 16:40. Heather Tkalec was second with 17:48 (33.708km/h), and Sylvie D'Aoust, with her family on site, was third with 17:58 (33.395km/h). Heather has improved each of the four times she has come out this year. It was nice to see Sylvie's youngest child, Lucas, afterwards. With his fingers around a feeding bottle, Sylvie joked that she had already trained him to feed himself. Eleven out of the fifteen women who had done an earlier 10km CFC time trial in 2012 managed to improve, despite the strength of the side winds. The most improved relative to previous 2012 CFCTT personal bests was Teresa Doré who did 28:42 (20.906km/h) with a cube speed improvement of 44.10% from her 2012-Jun-04 ride of 32:25 (18.509km/h). Note that Teresa was the only rider tonight on a hybrid bicycle, so she is number one in that more difficult class. Way to go! Meanwhile, the most unimproved at 76.83% of her season-series best, myself, Celia McInnis, is pleased to be able to walk slowly without limping. Things are looking up! Make sure you see the van Gogh exhibit - It is wonderful - Just don't trip over any of those little fences in front of the paintings!
