This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

With the warm temperatures, light winds and decreasing air pressure, this was a good night for a time trial, and of the 104 people who registered, 23 managed to improve upon their previous 15km personal best. The three most improved were Evan Baker (22:28, 40.059km/h) whose 10.59% cube speed improvement put him faster than 40km/h for the first time, Andrew Kruger (20:51, 43.165km/h) with a 9.65% improvement to break the 21 minute mark and Megan McTavish (22:57, 39.216km/h) who broke into the 22s with her 9.20% improvement. As well, four of the men were faster than the year's previous best for their categories. Both Paul Datars (19:45) and Jon Gee (20:02) improved upon Jon's previous 2012 Veteran C Male best of 20:04. Paul had a huge 12.10% cube speed improvement over his previous season best 15km, but he is currently still behind the more consistent Jon in terms of the average speed of their results this year. For the 2012 Veteran E Male category, Hermann Kerckhoff (23:05, 38.989km/h) took another 20 seconds off of his best 2012 time. The third category best mark of 2012 was Ron Amos' 19:10 (46.947km/h) for the Veteran B Male of 2012 category. Congratulations to all of the above and to the fastest three men and women of the night - Aaron Fillion (18:10, 49.541km/h), Warren MacDonald (19:01, 47.327km/h) and Ron Amos (19:10, 46.957) for the men, and for the closely matched women, Kelly Knowles (21:47, 41.316km/h), Veronik Bourgon (21:52, 41.159km/h) and Catherine Dessureault (21:54, 41.096km/h).

These results were posted on the OBC site, after a couple of fixes, circa 23:00 on 2012-Aug-17 and are available here for your added pleasure and analysis.

(Lest complaints about me just lazily sucking in the results surface, I wish to make it perfectly clear that I would look after the data entry. Historically, for the decade starting in 1998 I had all of the WTT series up within a few hours of the event, and likewise for the OTT series from 1999-2002 and again in 2006. More recently, I have written web software which can run from the start/finish lines to register, seed, calculate rider times from elapsed times and database the results immediately. The OBC Board however, not only won't let me volunteer here, but strangely enough they actually expelled me from the OBC for donating this time trial web site to you !)
