This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

Though last week was almost perfectly calm and this week was somewhat windy, the air flow was from a favourable direction and seemed to drop somewhat on the return for most riders. Perhaps this is why half of those who rode both this week and last were faster tonight. In fact twenty out of forty-five of tonight's riders improved upon their previous 2008 OTT best, and thirteen of fifty-one improved upon their previous 15km database best. Congratulations are in order for Warren MacDonald for winning the Canadian Nationals 20km Time Trial last weekend in 27:49 - the fastest time in any category. His time here tonight was Warren's second fastest 15km result thus far. Kevin Graves was on the doorstep of sub-20 a couple of times this season, and was very happy to break the barrier by a long-shot tonight. Likewise, Joel Katz was all smiles after going sub 21 for the first time and moving into 3rd position for the people on the all-time VCM category, currently following only Paul Datars and Rick Sudac. As well, Iain Radford, 3 seconds slower than Joel, was noteworthy as the person who improved the most upon his previous database best. Curiously enough, of the women, only Karen Byskov improved upon her 2008 OTT best, and none of us improved upon our previous database personal bests, perhaps because the wind had not dropped as significantly on our return trip as it had for some of the faster men.
